” White Oleander ” by Janet Fitch

I have read through the list of books on the list and have decided that this is the first book I will read. I found a website where I can read this book for free online. I thought I would give it a go as it saves me money by not having to go and buy it. Well I am going to go start reading it now and will post as I go along.

Ok so I have started reading this book.

The beginning took a little while to get into. When I started to read it I thought it was going to be a romance novel. It did have a very “Gone with the wind” feel to it. I have got through a bit of the book and I don’t want to stop reading it.

Even though I can read it for free online I think I might have to go buy it as I would definitely read it again and again so might be worth investing some money on this book.

Well off to read some more. When post again tomorrow and let you know how it’s going.

What have I got myself into………..

So I started doing a bit of research lastnight into this book list and found out that there are over 70 books in this book list for me to read and review.

I am really, really hoping that I may have already read some of them. Will definitely make my life a bit easier if I have. I am going to post a list of all the books on her list, feel free to read through them and if there is a book you really want me to review let me know and I will read it just for you.

For anyone that might read this and wonder why I am doing this. I am doing it purely because I enjoy reading.

Introduction to my blog

I am new to this whole blogging thing but decided to give it a go.

I love to read but have noticed that there aren’t alot of reviews out there on books, so I have decided to do my own reviewing of books. I have decided to start with the ones on Oprahs book list. I will be reading and then posting reviews on every book in her list from 1996 onwards.

I am not going to be reading them in any particular order.

Please feel free to comment on any reviews I write as I would like to know what other people thought about the books too.
